What You’ll Receive
Time in the Mountains
“The mountains and nature aren’t just places; they are mirrors. “
Whether you’ve spent time outside or rarely get a chance to slow down in nature, this retreat will give you the space to wander, slow down, reconnect with the wild, and maybe the wildness within you. Fresh air, wide open spaces, and quiet moments in the Colorado high country will help you settle, reflect, and let the next chapter of your life, creation, or idea emerge.
What’s included:
Structured and unstructured wandering in the Sawatch Mountain range.
Optional high elevation hikes to alpine lakes (5-6 miles), broken up into sections.
Experiential/Creative exercises.
Body-Based Practices
"Movement is memory, and your body remembers everything."
Gentle somatic practices, yoga, and breathwork will help you come back into your body, release tension, and notice what’s present. These practices are optional, adaptable, and designed to meet you where you are, whether you’re new to movement or an experienced practitioner.
Included:
Daily guided yoga and breathwork sessions
Somatic exercises to reconnect with your body
Practices to help regulate your nervous system and ground your experience
Meaningful Connection
"You are not alone — and here, you will be seen."
Gathering with a small, intentional circle of women creates the container for deep, honest, and playful connection. You’ll share stories, laughter, and fireside conversations, discovering how much it feels like coming home when you’re with women who get it.
Included:
Small group discussions and fireside conversations
Shared meals prepared by our professional female chef
Opportunities to reflect, share, and integrate your experience

Ritual
We’ll close our time together with a simple ritual to honor the land, the time we shared, and the paths we’re each stepping back into.
The Setting
We’ll gather at Lost Wonder Hut, tucked into the Colorado mountains, 10k ft above Salida, CO.
Lost Wonder Hut: A Rustic Mountain Experience
Female-owned hut with a rich history of the people who have stewarded this land. Lost Wonder Hut sits at 10,000 feet in the Sawatch Range of Colorado, surrounded by alpine meadows, wide mountain views, and expansive wilderness.
Please note: * This is not a lavish retreat. This is a Rustic Mountain Experience
Instead, it is an immersive experience in the natural world.
The hut serves as a place for us to gather, share meals, sleep, and take shelter if the weather rolls in, but the mountains themselves are the true container for our time together.
Participants should expect:
• Shared sleeping spaces in the hut
• No indoor showers
• An outdoor toilet system
• Limited electricity
• Mountain weather that can shift quickly
This simplicity is part of the retreat experience, inviting us to slow down and reconnect with the natural world. For those who enjoy sleeping closer to the land, camping is also available in a nearby meadow within walking distance of the hut. Please note the price of the retreat is the same regardless of whether you choose to camp, sleep indoors, or create a hybrid sleeping arrangement.
THE FOOD
"Caring for our bodies through food is an act of love, nourishing ourselves with what fuels, heals, and energizes, so we can live fully and with intention."
To make the most of this experience, you’ll need the right fuel, and that’s why we’ve curated a delicious and nourishing menu just for you. The Wilding Women’s approach is focused on eating clean without sacrificing flavor or enjoyment. We believe in striking the perfect balance.
Our female chef uses fresh, local ingredients to craft meals that are as vibrant as they are wholesome, packed with foods that will leave you feeling energized and amazing. The menu will be tailored to all your dietary needs.
Creating a Thoughtful Container
This retreat is held in a thoughtfully facilitated space led by two licensed psychotherapists.
While we are therapists, this retreat is not group therapy.
Our approach is simple: safety and trust come first. From there, meaningful connection and reflection can unfold naturally.
To help support a grounded group experience, we include a few touchpoints before and after the retreat.
Application + Intro Call
All participants complete a short application. After reviewing it, we’ll schedule a brief 15-minute Zoom call to connect and make sure the retreat feels like a good fit for everyone.
Two Pre-Retreat Group Calls
Before we gather in the mountains, we’ll meet twice as a group to get to know one another, review logistics, and answer any questions.
Post-Retreat Integration Call
About 2–3 weeks after the retreat, we’ll gather again for an optional integration call to reflect on the experience and support bringing insights back into everyday life.A Note About the Location
The Colorado Trail and Continental Divide Trail pass near Lost Wonder Hut, which means through-hikers may occasionally travel through the area.
While we will do our best to create a contained and intentional retreat space, the hut exists within an active wilderness corridor. Most participants find this to be part of the beauty of the location, a reminder that we are sharing the landscape with others who are also traveling through wild places.
Logistics & Safety
This retreat takes place in a remote mountain setting at 10,000 feet.
Participants will hike 2.5 miles to the hut and spend several days immersed in the Colorado backcountry.
To help you prepare, we’ve gathered important details about elevation, travel, physical considerations, and what to expect during the retreat.
Meet Your Facilitators
This retreat is guided by Nicole Jefferson and Kifferie Corley, licensed therapists who share a deep love for gathering women in wild places.
Our work blends somatic practices, gentle movement, and thoughtful group facilitation, creating spaces where women can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and spend meaningful time in nature.
We first met in 2021 at a nature therapy training in the hills of Lyons, Colorado, and the connection was immediate. Two years later, we co-facilitated our first Wilding Women’s Retreat in Paonia, Colorado.
Since then, we’ve continued bringing women together in wild places for reflection, movement, and connection. This will be the fifth retreat we’ve facilitated together, and we feel deeply grateful to continue sharing this work.
Nicole Jefferson, LPC
Founder of Wilding Therapy & big lover of Wild places.
Kifferie Corley LPC, MFT
There’s something special that happens when women gather in wild places, and we’re honored to help hold that space.
